LATEST PONY CAR DEBUTS A DAY BEFORE OFFICIAL REVEAL

It really doesn't matter what auto manufacturers do, they can't keep the wraps on a good car for long. Case in point: the 2016 Chevy Camaro. It wasn't supposed to be revealed until May 16 at Detroit's Belle Isle, but CNBC aired its special on the new car Friday. A few eagle-eyed enthusiasts took the opportunity and snapped a photo of their TV screens, with full front and rear views. Nice work Matthew the Car Guy and Italopaula, we hope your followers increase exponentially.

We can't talk about specs yet, but we do know about the weight (200 pounds less), the engineering and what the rear end looks like without taillights. Speaking of those, we're glad Chevy ditched the horizontal rounded rectangles in the back; it looked way too '80s for our taste. The Corvette-like treatment is way better. Stay tuned, we'll have the full suite of information on the 2016 Camaro tomorrow, or maybe sooner.

Head over to Jalopnik to see the full CNBC video, and check out this test drive video from this morning at Belle Isle.
