Aston Martin On Ice winter driving experience returns in 2015

NEW 10-ACRE ICE DRIVING COURSE BUILT IN COLORADO

If your MI6 driving skills need sharpening, or if you've always wanted to try to reenact the glacier chase scenes from theJames Bond film "Die Another Day," Aston Martin may be able to help. The company is returning to Crested Butte, Colorado, in early 2015 to offer a winter driving course dubbed Aston Martin On Ice, with an array of supercars to choose from.

"After a hugely successful first year we are returning with an On Ice program that will once again deliver a genuinely thrilling experience in Colorado’s breath-taking high country," said Julian Jenkins, president of Aston Martin The Americas. "Combining extreme driving, in an extreme environment, with typically sumptuous Aston Martin luxury living, the 2015 On Ice activity is sure to be amongst the highlights of our year."

Aston Martin spent 250 man hours building a special 10-acre course that will offer a braking and cornering exercise loop, a slalom course, a skid pad, and a full circuit. The course has been designed to allow the participants, under the instruction of Aston Martin factory drivers, to hone their winter cornering, handling, and braking skills, with an opportunity to try them out on a mile-long frozen road course. It sounds like there will be potential for a lot of drifting between the exercises as well, though Aston Martin doesn't promise any weapons training. For that you'll have to talk to the quartermaster back at the home office.

The winter driving program is scheduled for February in two waves of three days each. We hear Crested Butte is a nice ski town as well, though we're not sure if the local ski industry offers a biathlon course for honing marksmanship skills.

We'd imagine spots in this program will fill up fast, so contact Aston Martin if this driving program is your cup of vodka martini.
