2015 Nissan Sentra priced at $17,305

NISSAN ADDS STANDARD EQUIPMENT TO COMPACT SEDAN FOR 2015 MODEL YEAR

Nissan has added a number of standard features to the Sentra for the 2015 model year, following a complete redesign of the compact sedan in 2013. The Sentra continues to use the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which can be coupled with a six-speed manual transmission in the base model or with the Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

The base Sentra S 6MT starts at $17,305 for 2015, and this model has gained a USB port, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, Smart Auto headlights, cruise control, and illuminated steering wheel audio controls as standard equipment. The same trim level coupled with Xtronic automatic transmission will now start at $18,155; the FE+ S model, a fuel economy special rated at 30/40/34 mpg city/highway/combined, will start at $18,555.

Nissan has also made a few changes to the mid-level SV trim, adding a rear-view camera, NissanConnect with mobile apps, a five-inch screen, SiriusXM radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a sliding front armrest, a hands-free text messaging assistant, sliding front armrest, Smart Auto Headlights, and a tire pressure monitor as standard equipment. The SV model will start at $19,125.

Nissan has also added standard equipment to the Sentra SR for 2015, including heated outside mirror with LED turn-signal indicators and heated front seats, in addition to items that were previously in the Driver's Package: rear disc brakes, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with five-inch color display, and a few other smaller items. The Sentra SR starts at $20,735.

The range-topping Sentra SL model has also gained standard equipment for 2015, including heated front seats, an auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink universal garage remote and leather appointed seats. The SL model will start at $21,495 for the 2015 model year.
